Be Kind.

There have been many times when I felt lost, left out, or confused in life and someone went out of their way to help me in a kind, compassionate, and loving way. It felt so good to be lifted up and supported and to feel the interconnection of all things.
Compliments, encouragement, and generous gestures like holding the door for someone or helping them with their groceries are just some of the ways kindness may be expressed. It is said that "Kindness is the highest wisdom" and I truly believe it. We can never know what someone else may be going through, and that's why it's important to be kind to others. When I had my two young babies, and would be out and about, people would compliment them on how cute they are and one lady actually said, "God must really love you to bring you such a sweet baby boy." It was thoughtful and I went home that night appreciating one of the greatest gifts the Almighty Father has blessed me with. Even one comment like that can change someone's life for the better so I try to always be hopeful and encouraging whenever possible. It is always possible. Even phoning a friend you haven't spoken to in a while or sending them a message can be a small way to bring them hope and joy. It was a pleasant reminder to see this sign on the dump truck today ;) and get to share it with you all.

“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.” Luke 6:35
The Lord encourages us to be kind to the suffering, those in pain, and EVEN to those who are unkind to us. Oftentimes, many of those who are unkind need care and tenderness the most. The next time someone is unkind, I encourage you to love them and not take their words or actions personally. Honor them. Pray for them. Forgive them. Bless them. They are all doing their best with the tools we've been given and the best thing we can do is to have compassion.
