I remember during high school, a guy I was seeing went to Tibet and touched the Dalai Lama. I didn't know too much about Tibet or Buddhism at the time, but he got to spend the summer abroad and it was an honor to get to touch him. I saw him speak once in LA and Maria Shriver presented him. I loved seeing her up there. What an inspiration she is to me! She is such a light, a leader, an incredibe mom, a friend and a beauty. She has raised such good kids too! It's nice to see a single mother be able to do all of this!
Two people who I've met since living in Vegas are the only two that I have ever felt holiness from. One is a lady who has worked with women for many years helping them in twelve step recovery programs. She has a healthy marriage and is wonderful. The other is a woman who runs an organization dedicated to bringing hookers and prositutes to get to know Jesus Christ. It's an amazing thing when you meet an individual, particularly a woman, like this. I've only met women who embody this. It's as if they have a shield of light around them. You know, I had a boyfriend my freshman year of college, too. I was having a very difficult time that year and we met in dance class and whatever he did, he had this Light. I'd always perceive it out of the corner of my eye during our classes. It gave me HOPE! He had experienced a near death experience as a child and suffered from an rare illness but miraculously recovered. It was healing to hear about this.
