Journey to Red Mountain

This week I got the opportunity to travel to Red Mountain in St. George, UT. It is right next to the beautiful Snow Canyon State Park, filled with red rocks, mountains, and the Santa Clara Volcano. While hiking the Lava Tubes trail and driving through the park, you'll see black volcanic rock everywhere. The contrast between the red sand and rocks, the creosote bushes and other shrubs, and the black volcanic rock is quite extreme and also even mesmerizing. It would make for a great watercolor painting.

There are also really neat caves you can go into called Lava Tubes. The first one was too deep and dark so I passed on this one, but the next was a nice cave with an easier descent. The caves were much cooler than the outside temperature so it was a nice break from hiking.

Highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves nature and being outdoors, it will surprise you! Anywhere or anyplace you want to go in life is possible, just remember to dream and to set an intention, or make a dream board, visualize it, pray, trust, believe and it will happen.
