Vegas, Baby!

Back when I was a naive young woman I remember saying to someone, "I will NEVER go to Las Vegas," and now, I live here. I just find it so funny that the one place in the world I didn't want to visit, I now LIVE in and LOVE it. It's just one of the ways that God can surprise us and bring us something that we may not have wanted, but that we NEEDED.

As I said before, I love it here. Coming from Los Angeles, a big city with a more stimulating vibe and stressors, it is a breath of fresh air literally and figuratively to live out in nature and feel the peace and tranquility of the desert. It almost feels like a retreat living here. Things are just a lot more convenient and easier than a big city - going to the grocery store, finding parking, etc. It's a simple way of life. I enjoy living a simpler lifestyle and getting to spend more of my time and energy investing in what's important. It's also very family friendly and has many more attractions for families and children that I believe I have found in Los Angeles, and there are parks EVERYWHERE!

I feel blessed and grateful to live here and thankful that God did for me what I could not do for myself - found a nice, tranquil hideaway that allows me to grow closer to Him each and every day. I now keep an OPEN MIND to what God's plan for my life is, rather than my own, because it always turns out much more beautiful and incredible than I could have done had I tried to stay in the driver's seat and plan my own life.

God's plan is always better. I just have to trust.
